Marion Delorme was born in Mulhouse in 1982. She began her music studies at the Conservatoire d'Amnéville. After studying dance at the Conservatoire National de Région de Metz, she continued her music studies at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Colmar in the classes of Marie-Violaine Cadoret and Stéphane Cattez. She was awarded the First Prize in both violin and chamber music. In 1998 she won the First Prize in Violin at the UFAM Competition (Union for Women Artists and Musicians). The same year she entered the Conservatoire National de Région de Boulogne-Billancourt. In 1999 she obtained a Certificat d'Analyse mention Très Bien in the class of Naji Hakim, and in 2001 a First Prize in Violin in the class of Christophe Poiget, and a First Prize in Chamber Music in the class of Hortense Cartier-Bresson. In 2002 she obtained a First Prize in Music Analysis in the class of Naji Hakim. She studied also with Maryvonne Le Dizès, Akiko Gautier and Annick Roussin. Naji Hakim composed for Marion Delorme a Sonata for violin and piano - premiered in Paris, December 2001 with the composer on the piano - and a Concerto for violin and strings, - premiered at the Festival of Gmunden (Austria), in August 2002 with the Capella Istropolitana, conducted by Alexander Drcar. She has recorded the Sonata for violin and piano by Naji Hakim, with the composer, for Rejoyce, France (CD 3760040710068). |
