In this four-hand piano arrangement, the verse and refrain are transposed into contrasting keys to avoid overlap and create variety, moving from F-sharp major to B-flat major and ending in G major. The piano writing gradually expands in brilliance, giving the melody a festive and entertaining new harmonic setting.

La Cucaracha est une chanson populaire mexicaine, célèbre pour son rythme entraînant et ses syncopes pleines d’humour. Très chantée pendant la Révolution mexicaine, elle est devenue un symbole de la culture populaire et de l’identité nationale.

Dans ce nouvel arrangement pour piano à quatre mains, couplet et refrain sont transposés dans des tonalités contrastées pour éviter le chevauchement et enrichir la variété, passant de fa dièse majeur à si bémol majeur pour s’achever en sol majeur. L’écriture pianistique s’amplifie peu à peu, offrant à la mélodie un nouvel écrin harmonique, festif et divertissant.
