This joyful Sonatina is articulated in three movements following the pattern of the Italian overture (fast – slow - fast). The initial Allegro, in ternary form, is teeming with trill patterns and arabesques. Its accents give a rhythmic relief to the melodic contours of large ambitus. The central movement, Moderato, in the minor mode, is more collected and combines the variation and ternary forms. The conclusive Vivace is a burlesque and festive rondo.

Cette joyeuse Sonatine s’articule en trois mouvements selon le schéma de l’ouverture à l’italienne (vif – lent -vif). L’Allegro initial, de forme ternaire, fourmille de motifs en trille et d’arabesques. Ses accentuations donnent un relief rythmique aux contours mélodiques au large ambitus. Le mouvement central, Moderato, dans le mode mineur, est plus intérieur et conjugue la forme variation et la forme ternaire. Le Vivace conclusif est un rondo burlesque et festif.
