Allegro - Moderato - Allegro 

The opening Allegro is in sonata form developing a dance-like first theme contrasting with a chorale section.  The middle movement, Moderato, is a set of variations on a maronite song.  The finale, Allegro, is in rondo form. Its thematic material is based on several marian songs, with a cyclical recall of the second movement's theme.

L' Allegro initial est de forme sonate ; il développe un thème principal dansant contrastant avec une section de style choral.  Le mouvement central, Moderato, est une suite de variations sur un chant maronite.  Le finale, Allegro, est de forme rondo. Son matériau thématique est bâti sur divers chants mariaux avec un rappel cyclique du thème du deuxième mouvement.
