The Roman Triptych meditations by Saint John Paul II struck me by their depth, their simplicity and their vigor.

I wanted to choose the poems in which I found an echo or an extension of my own theology and which seemed to me the most suitable to be expressed in music.

In order to balance the proportions of the composition, I chose 2 poems in each of the three parts of the triptych:

I drew my inspiration and was guided by the very structure of the poems, their rhetoric, their keywords, real vectors of the literary and musical speech: Stream/Torrent-Source- Word- Movement- the Voice (that invites Abraham to leave) – Mystery. 

Les méditations du Triptyque Romain de Saint Jean-Paul II m’ont marqué par leur profondeur, leur simplicité, et leur vigueur. 

J’ai voulu choisir les poèmes dans lesquelles je trouvais un écho ou un prolongement à ma propre théologie et qui me semblaient le plus se prêter à la mise en musique. 

Par souci de proportion, j’ai choisi 2 poèmes dans chacun des trois volets du triptyque :

Je me suis inspiré et laissé guidé par la structure même des poèmes, leur rhétorique et leurs mots-clés, véritables moteurs du discours littéraire et musical : Courant/Torrent - Source - Verbe - Mouvement - la Voix (qui invite Abraham au départ) – Mystère.
