SINDBAD, Fantasy on Omani popular songs, 10', Bayonne, 2025, to Mario Rahi, Mario Rahi and Fabio Centanni, Beirut, 11.12.25.

This fantasy is inspired by the legend of Sindbad the Sailor. It uses free thematic material and three Omani popular songs : Al-Wailiah, Al-Madima and Al-Naham. These were suggested to me by Prof. Dr. Issam El-Mallah, during my visit to the Royal Opera House of Muscat. The work is through composed and develops the thematic material in a rhapsodic frame with contrasting characters and registrations.

Cette fantaisie s'inspire de la légende de Sindbad le Marin. Elle utilise un matériau thématique libre ainsi que trois chants populaires omanais : Al-Wailiah, Al-Madima et Al-Naham. Ceux-ci me furent suggérés par le Prof. Dr Issam El-Mallah, lors de ma visite au Royal Opera House Muscat. L'œuvre est en composition continue et développe son matériau thématique dans un cadre rhapsodique aux caractères et aux registrations contrastés.
