This concerto follows the pattern of the Italian overture in three movements, allegro –moderato - allegro. The opening Allegro moderato, in ternary form, is built on the melody of "Adieu, fillette de Bayonne"; the central movement, Mesto, develops a set of variations on the melody of "Lurraren pian sar nindaiteke"; the Presto concludes the work in a cheerful and burlesque rondo.

Ce concerto suit le schéma de l’ouverture à l’italienne en trois mouvements, vif-lent-vif. L’Allegro moderato initial, de forme ternaire, est bâti sur la mélodie de « Adieu, fillette de Bayonne » ; le mouvement central, Mesto, développe un ensemble de variations sur la mélodie de « Lurraren pian sar nindaiteke » ; le Presto conclut l’œuvre dans un rondo joyeux et burlesque.
