Chant de Joie (Song of Joy) is inspired by Psalm 150, and follows a rondo form with several folkloric tunes in its episodes : 1. Ronde “Au barricot du noir” from the Landes of Gascony - 2. “Visi kociņi, bērziņi” and 3. “Vienai mātei viena pati meitiņa” from Latvia.

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with crashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
