ANNE WARTHMANN, soprano

After winning several distinctions in piano and chamber music, Anne Warthmann got into vocal technique and singing repertoire. The discovery of lyrical art and choral music changed profoundly her appreciation of music and encouraged her to carry out simultaneously her piano and vocal studies, alongside a solid educational and cultural training. Holder of State Diplomas in voice and piano, she naturally directed her career towards teaching and pedagogy. Also, her love for stage work and opera enabled her to sing in numerous productions, in particular under the direction of François-Xavier Roth or Nicolas Chalvin for music and Alain Garichot, Yannis Kokkos or Daniel Slater for staging. She regularly tackles all types of repertoire with a vocal range most often leading her to programs around romantic opera, German lied, French melody or contemporary music that she is particularly fond of. She currently teaches singing at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Caen, is regularly scheduled in the musical season of the Caen orchestra and participates as guest soloist in various musical productions in France and abroad.
